I got a chance to work on my 340 this evening. The machine shop installed the cam bearings. They are lined up ok, but there is some mismatch between the oil feed holes in the bearing and the rifle in the block. I can get a 3/16" drill bit through all of the holes, but not the full 1/4" bit that the rifles are drilled to. Also, on the rocker feeds I can't get the 3/16" through one side, but I can get a 1/8" through.

Is this anything to worry about? I was considering just running the 1/4" bit through all the oil feeds to open them up but I know some people like to put restrictions on the rocker feeds so it seems like it might be unnecessary.

Get back on your meds!
you silence!

some of us don't adhere to the gregorian calendar and instead mark the passage of time in seasonal themes.

soon green bearing season will be here followed by "over heating! help!" season... but first we must endure the bleakness of oil bypass and hei upgrades!
