Mr. Norm's

Dialed in Camshafts for 383's.

Grand-Spaulding Dodge brought in the 'best' Engine Techs, and did many swaps
for what would work best for a Street 383.

Camshaft.............Hydraulic
Lift..................... .533"
Duration.............. 292*
Duration............. 244* @ .050" Lift
LSA.................... 110*

The 'DYNO-MAN' out did the 'Timing Light Man'.

At the Track, the Dyno'd version was quicker by .22

"You're quite the argumentative type, "

Not really but since YOU have set yourself up in such a manor of splitting hairs and twisting things, I have to be a bit more precise and possibly start splitting hairs just to make sure I don't fall victim to your words which have shown up as rude. Comments re guarding LI traffic and how it's affecting what you think is an issue to me is off base.
Scale it back or ramp it up. Your call.

"when we went to National Speedway."

I remember going as a kid. Family in C.I.

"I have several homes,"

Very nice! Snow birding? I'm hoping to look into a second home shortly.

I wish you old coots would quit arguing and get these threads going in the original direction, im trying to learn stuff from you guys, the ones that have been there and have knowledge to pass on.

I attempted to post some information, but instead of getting positive
contributions,

Like in Mopar 383,

There is a little more to getting an Engine with a 'new' Camshaft to run it's best,
than just advancing the Timing to 'initial' at 1500 RPM's and 34* at Maximum.

If you're 'not' a Timing Expert, then you have no other choice than to have a
good shop with a Chassis Dyno show you where you're at.

You just have to get used to the crust that comes with the package.
