Can burnouts structurally weaken tires??

Who's the tire manufacturer?
If it is some of those cheap Chinese tire anything can happen, just Google it.
I would take it back to the tire dealer you got it from and let them make a determination.
Who knows maybe you will get a free tire.
Milestar
Walmart was the retailer.
They think the tire came apart but can't really do much, the best they can do is give me a manager's discount on either another tire or set of tires.

I'm going to buy a new set since they are not like mega expensive.

The only thing is they can sell me any tire but no one is there to mount or balance.

I told them, that is fine, I'll mount it myself. When I said I'd mount the tires myself, i got a weird look from the manager but he said that's fine.

If a Slant can hurt a tire like that I'm Like Skywalker.

I'm running around on 19 year old tires on one of my pickups. Not scared.

I did find that when hauling bulk potatoes at 30000 lbs over the legal load limit that a tires age and air pressure matter.

BTW the Millennium Falcon is gassed up and ready to fly Tonite...
It’s the slant six that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs!

Purchase an American made tire from a reputable tire dealer.
In the long run it will cost you less$

They'll cover it. But don't buy tires from WalMart again. Lemmie splain.

WalMart sells tires you cannot get anywhere else, because they are made more cheaply than tires you can buy in the "real" tire market. Look around. You will not find that exact same tire anywhere else. You might find a "Milestar" but it will not be the same. "SOMETHING" will be superior to the Milestar you got from WalMart. Whether it's the speed rating, temperature or mileage ratings, something will be different. WalMart is such a big retailer, they can go to say Goodyear, for instance and say "hay, we want several million tires made like "this" and get it done. Yes, they still have to be DOT approved, but barely.

1) those ain't that old
2) I've blown-up tires doing burnouts, but they were well used & worn, and those were long, boiling burnouts. Laying even 40ft of billowing smoke won't kill a quality tire,...no way.
3) The Dealership has to write-off tires in stock if they are 6yrs. or older. We can't sell them legally, & that is based on an avg. life expectancy of 4 years, mileage avg. of 12-14K/yr. The compounds really start to break down quick by the time the tire is 10yrs. old. Too risky to sell on the edge at 6yrs. already.
4) Some of the worst tires at fast degradation were some of the priciest,...Michelins had a terrible run of tires that split & separated in like 2yrs. time.
5) I have mounted new, mid-level $$$/quality tires, that didn't even survive the road-test after I aligned the vehicle!!! It was a name-brand, not cheapie set, blew-out at the bead circumference along it. No problems in mounting, so no unusual stress put on it, just "BOOM" as I slowed at the traffic light by the shop.
6) I have only exploded one tire during mounting in My career, & luckily it was the bottom, not top side that let go @ 45psi. An E-load LT tire, & it looked exactly like Yours, almost straight from bead to tread, like it was cut. Take the replacement & give it a go, I have had cheap tires that served Me well, & some expensive ones that sucked. No guarantee's with any of it, let Us know how it goes.

Could be from a long forgotten pothole or curb shot or just a bad build rearing it's ugly head.
Really doubt is was from a 65 ft burnout.

I don't recall hitting any potholes but who knows, there's a lot of crap on the roads that we don't see when blasting by at 78 mph. LoL

Agree ... Had one last ONE DAY.
Did a 7 tire rotation and put the zero miles spare on the right front. Headed for Atlanta Motor Speedway, made it about 90 miles on I-95. Running at 65 mph a slight vibration develops quickly. I'm like WTF? Slow down to just below 60 and it goes away. Decide to move to the center lane 'drive through it' and when I hit 70 mph and ka-*******-boom.
Yeah, that it'll get your attention.... in a motorhome.
Made a mess of the fender and tore off the running board and more....

Mmmmmm the smell of new tires with the little nubs on them and all.

I'm thinking now is the time for some more burnout action since the compounds are nice and fresh.

LOL

My car is a sick-sweetheart.
If I start it up, sooner or later, before I shut it off, it will do a two or three gear burnout.Maybe more than one, maybe more than ten, plus a lot of sliding and drifting, and what-not. That darn car has been doing that since 1999. The only trouble I have had is having to buy her new tires every second year or so, due to balding.
It seems tho, that as she gets older, the tires are lasting a bit longer. I think she's getting lazy; I might have to motivate her, or something.

new tires are louder .... one of my favorites was lighting them up under the overpass. Every late buzzed night on the way home and sometimes during the day to scare all the pigeons out from under there. Never did get **** on ... they blasted out the other way.:steering:

The picture of the 'upper cut' is straight across. The picture of the 'lower cut' is V-shaped. ??? Whitewalls?

Got nosy and went to U-tube and watched how tires are made. The belts are cut at like 45* angles, not straight across the thread. I'm assuming there are 2 belts and they are placed opposite of eachother.
