I have a vintage set of S/S wheels 15 X 8 with the perfect back spacing for my car and the are not the dreaded "vari-lug" , they are the good round lug holes , 4 1/2 bolt pattern. The chrome is dead. Can they be rechromed?

The short answer is no. Because Cragars are steel and aluminum, they can't be chromed as assembled wheels. The chrome would be drawn to the steel instead of the aluminum. You have to have the centers cut out, each part plated, then welded back together.

I'm restoring a set of Cragar S/S Wheels 13x5,5" See my restoration thread! It's alot of work but well worth it!

Did you think about having them powder coated as another option?
