Please help me out id this damper, i am looking for a 318 for my 1983 318 engine build...any help thanks...

Looks like it is a 360ci external balance.

Harlem shaker! 318 will be smooth and solid, or a compete 360 degree scallop on the back.

I believe that there are two different style 360 balancers, one has weight added, the other one is the one you have where the weight is casted out of the balancer. But it will not work on 273-318-340 engines it will only work on a 360 engine.

Thanks you guys for your help, i really love this place, ok about the damper, it was a wrong described item off the web, seller told me it was working on a 340 engine, in the pics its pretty clear and shows the little scalop, well my mistake i bid and won and i did this off my iphone..... Big mistake, didnt pay enough attention to the picx, ohh well you know the rest, nobody got hurt in this...thanks again.
