Hello all,
Bad day yesterday . My 1968 Dart GT convertible was side swiped on the highway. Now I’m looking for some body parts.
I’m looking for passenger fender,
Passenger door ( are convertible doors different than hardtop).
Passenger quarter and GT side trim.
I’m up in Toronto Canada . Closer would be better.
Thanks in advance.

IMHO.

I don't see enough damage to warrant replacing those parts. A good body man work 99% of that out and mud the rest. as for trim save everything. I don't know if that trim is as rare as 67 dart GT rocker trim but that too can be restored as well.

heck first thing I would do is see a paintless dent guy, you would be surprised what they can do nowadays.

Sorry to read, not much help here but I hope the glass didnt break, THAT is vert specific. There are other minor things that attach to door that is vert specific also.

That’s gotta be frustrating! Ugh.

While any damage sucks, at least the car is not a heavily damaged. As others have said, it’s not anywhere close to being written off and there doesn’t appear to be any structural damage?

Once repairs are underway, can you share what happened?

Probably not, a horse sat on my 67 dart pass door (that's another story for another time!) and pushed in the body line where the upper edge door trim is and the same area as boilermaker's, glass just fine!

I fully agree with all of the posted recommendations...BUT! "Inquisitive me," want's to know...did the "POS" that did this stop? Do they have insurance? Recently a woman hit the back of my son's van, (with his family in the van) and just drove off like nothing happened. The police tracked her down, from the type of pieces from her car that she left behind and a description of the car. She said "she didn't know she hit someone. BTW, she has insurance, but the police won't let my son know if she got a ticket for the crime of leaving the scene. They only gave him her insurance information.

Nice catch with the headlight. I don't see any major damage in the pictures, at worst it could need a new door skin, the rest of the damage is repairable. It really does suck that it happened, but it could have been far worse.

I had a very similar experience when a woman drove into the driver's door of my car, while I was driving it, then backed up and drove away. I was able to get a plate number and immediately filed a police report. She denied that she had been in a collision, but the damage to her car told the truth.

Heading south 404 to 401 lots of braking and "pos" following too close, in right lane to me. Driver swerved to the left and tagged a suv on passenger side bumper. This turned him 90 deg into my lane. I had no place to go. OPP charged driver with careless. Thank God no one was hurt.

Looks totally repairable. I have some 68 GT trim parts in the states, but I would fix the door, fender and quarter if I were you. BTW, three generations of my family graduated from Purdue, so we are all Boilermakers...LOL

check with the guys at National Moparts in Beaverton for anything that can't be fixed... they've helped me out a couple of times now with hard-to-find parts

Convertible door shells are the same as hardtop doors, except for the locating wedge at the back. It's the glass that's different. That all looks totally fixable to me.

Thanks, I'll give them a call tomorrow. Many parts have come from them for my car. They are always great to deal with .

You know, after coming down from super pissed off mode, my head was cleared to digest the damage. I think the door can be saved ( fingers crossed). Quarter is not terrible . I hope the old paint can be matched.
