Can't go outside

-
I remember when I moved from NJ to Fl in '85 Bought my first car a Charger. I would drive all over in this Heat no A/C drinking Mountain Dew never bothered me. But, I was young and skinny. Times change.

One thing I've learned, is the water you drink today is the water you will sweat tomorrow. When you're working in the heat, you need to drink a 16 of bottle of water every hour. That's sometimes hard for us stubborn old farts to remember, but heat exhaustion, and especially a heat STROKE are no jokes. I'm as guilty as anybody! :realcrazy:
I ended up going back out yesterday, to load a Nova on my car trailer I have to haul next weekend, the temp gauge on the truck read 110, had a couple friends stop buy, we had quite a few beers while loading the car.
The beer was a bad idea.
I woke up at 2am this morning and felt really bad, like de-hydrated, grabbed a glass of ice tea out of the fridge.
After drinking the tea, I could not go back to sleep, still felt bad.
Finally got up a 4 am, took a shower, drove to the local convenience store and bought the biggest Gatorade they had.
Drank it and feel 100% now 6 hrs later.

Holy cow it's hot today I'm working on my passenger side floor pan I got a couple bottles of water and started my truck to turn the ac on to take a break. Here is what my truck says

Yeah, same nonsense in CT. Temp is 93* now. Tomorrow they predict 100*. Last Wednesday was the worst. 95* and 75* dew point. We've had 3 heat waves already, and are in the middle of another one. It sucks the energy out of you as we get older.

Not too bad here today, mid 70s, just looked at the forecast for the coming week and it is looking like 90s all through. Hope the humidity stays down, had lots of rain this year and the mosquitoes are the worst I've seen since I moved here in 2013.
