So a few years ago I remember some talk about a TV show where the TV people will take someone's collection of cars and build one for the owner and sell the rest to fund the one grand build. I never saw the show myself but I remember hearing about it.

This past weekend I had a guy stop by my house three times, the first two times I didn't talk to him ( he is on security camera), this morning I was pulling in my drive way and the same cat pulls up in a newer Toyota pickup (red flag) and says his name is "Rick" and he part of them doing another season of this "TV show" and he is interested in my collection.

He asked how many old cars I have but I did not say because that seems kinda private. I told him I am not interested. Then he started asking me if I am the actual owner of everything like "is your name on the legal ownership documents" I didn't really answer that because again, why is this relevant, am I being questioned or WTH!!! He asked if he could snap some photos of the cars outside in view, I said I would prefer not because it is not necessary.........

I told him to move on up the road and he kept insisting that its a great opportunity and he was really trying hard to find out what is in the barn.

I feel like I am red alert Facility lock down right now ......anyone hear of such a thing or has had this happen recently??

could be checking up to see if they could charge you a tax say like inventory tax in some states. I would not have wanted him nosing around either. Did he offer any identification? Don't let your guard down.

he claimed to be a car guy as well and was trying to show a picture of a 64 polara...no idea if it was his or ???

The "Rick" I got is definitely not this Rick ....the cat here is maybe mid 20s and blonde

Normally those shows send out a producer or some low level guy to poke around. The Stars don't show up until filming time. That being said I would be very cautious unless this guy could produce some pretty significant Identification proving who he is. My thoughts are your Woman's intuition is working well and you did good sending him packing.

Don't let any of these shows Touch Mopars. The more Chevys they do the better. All they do is ruin cars. And i like to build my cars myself not have someone else do it.

Dave Kindig could work on my Dart any time he wanted if I had the money. So could Chip Foose but with Foose I would require no two tone and no Big ugly wheels.

Do not let that guy back on your property, he is probably on a phishing mission to buy, or steal your stuff!! He is certainly no car show producer!!!

Talk to a cop, tell the story & ask them to run the plate. If the guy has any priors for theft, trespassing, stalking or otherwise, I am sure the cop will have some advice for you.

Be packing protection next time he comes around and don't be afraid to use it and at least scare him. Call for back up if you can. I never trust these guys... They are Opportunists looking to make money on your stuff. They don't care about you. It is all about making money for them.

Better safe than sorry. You did the right thing since you didn't ask for it.

I would have introduced him to
Smith & Wesson !!!
Say hello to my little friend !!!
