getting close to putting the motor back in the Demon and wanted to know.... just got an air-gap edelbrock manifold and wonder if the performer 600cfm is not the right size for the motor- 340 with x heads, 280/.474 cam, 9.5:1. Should I go to a 750 cfm or is that pushing it?
Thanks- Ed

i would go with the 750, but if you already have the 600 try it, they will be about even till about 5,000 rpm where the 750 will make more power.

I had a 600 eddy on my 360 I got smart and threw that junk away for a Holley 650 Dp and WOW what a difference! With a 340 I would defiantly do a 750 vac secondary for auto and 750Dp for a stick with some gear. Go to the Holley website and they have an interactive carb selector, its very useful.

res1 gave excellent advice.

Auto or 4spd?

OK, a 4spd car, nice. I'd do a Holley 4150 750 DP.
