Hi all, my 64 Valiant's carburetor is on its way out. I've got a slant six with a single barrel and looking for a recommendation for an aftermarket single or double with auto choke. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I think that this daytona universal carb is the only drop in new single bbl you can find. I've heard of guys using weber singles and doubles but they require some weird linkage work i believe. Check out slantsix.org they have some real experts that will be able to point you in the right direction or maybe sell you a quality rebuilt one.

You either have a Holley 1920 or a Carter BBS. Why not rebuild it yourself ?
Very simple carbs, and kits are available.
The other alternative would be to buy a rebuilt one, and use yours as a core.

After some research, I'm just gonna do it myself. You're right. It'll be my first rebuild but it's worth a shot. Gotta learn somehow! Thanks! :)
