carlisle 4 weeks from today

-
I,m going. looking for 1965 dodge dart gt parts & i have some parts that i could bring like front disc brakes small bolt pattern.

Sounds great ... but kind of sucks that it is so far to the "right" (east coast) ... really tough for anyone west of the Mississippi to make that haul. Too bad the big show wasn't more centrally located like in Minneapolis, Memphis, or ... St Louis!

Then it would be too far for us here! You mid-westerners have the Nats which I have never been to. National Trail is also pretty far from St. Louis though.

Central PA is not a terribly long drive for me but it is through three states. I am surprised to see people chiming in from North Carolina and such. That's a haul.

Carlisle seems like it's become bigger than the Nats recently. It's hard to see everything in one day. It would be cool if it was a track like the Nats but there are racing events in the surrounding areas. I stay all weekend now, I never used to do that.

I'll be there for Friday and part of Saturday. I think this might be 15th-16th year going.

we are going over on thursday. Hope to meet some of if not all of ya's there. We are bringing Sassy with us. Stop and say hello. I'm syked. see ya's there, Mike from gear head mafia car club in ct

Yep, been going since the late '90s. Wouldn't miss it, one of the highlights of my summer.

Don't actually need a whole lot this year which frees me up to find cool, random things. :D

One of these years I will go down and sell off some of my stuff.

VA58 & I will be up on Thursday the 9th to attend the kickoff show at the Carlisle Expo Center just a few blocks from the fairgrounds and hosted by the local club, Mopar Rebellion.

Is the Thursday night kickoff cruise-in/show not at the big Dodge dealer in Mechanicsburg off Rte. 11 this year?

I will be there with the 69 swinger in the signature line.

should be a great time!

Greg

67Notch- first timers??----you'll be amazed.
Been going since it started,,,,,so--
Over 2400 show entries - enough said! if you're into parts get there thurs and Friday, some tend to be pricey but almost guaranteed you'll find what ur looking for.
Get ready for heat, generally in the upper 80's or 90's, and humid
Food / drink is excellent throughout, although "event" priced
No alcohol sold, so if u must-- be as inconspicuous as possible, some vendors have been escorted off before- seen it happen
Where u stayin with RV? Nice campground 2 mi away - Western Village , full of Mopars, nice place especially with wife n kids
Send me a pm if you need more details- goes for anyone
Oh and once you go, you'll be back- and no I'm not employed there lol

Used to go every year but haven't been in a few years due to working in the oil patch.
I'll be there this year but will be driving up from SW Louisiana in an '11 SRT-8 Challenger this time. I need to get one of my A-body cars done to take up there. Love the Carlisle show for sure.

Moparwacko, thanks for the info. My plan was to drive the rv and camp at the fair grounds to avoid having to pull a vehicle to drive back and forth. Are the "on site campgrounds" close enough to walk to and from the events?

not sure that there will be any onsite spots open now.. in the past they have gone very fast. usually need to reserve them early.

Anodyne is correct- May not be any on site camping left.
I've never stayed at the event, too much car stuff for wife n kids lol
The campground I mentioned is definitely too far on foot tho. I have heard there are some "private" sites near the fairgrounds but never really looked into it. Give the Carlisle staff a call- they may know, always been helpful for me.
All those entered in snowfield---- I got my window sticker this past week ,
Heard others have not - give them a call if u don't have them by mid week
Big hint--- eve tho I don't enter the Roadrunner , I enter my 2011 Ram in show
Gets u in all weekend, free parking, bring refreshments, come n go as u please
Best way yet ;)

As always, we'll be there on the corner of I-1 and H1-3 across from the Porti-Johns.
I'm still looking for a $400-$500 A body "parts car" within 75 miles of the fairgrounds. (still searching Hershey & York CL)
As some of you know, we usually drop our load Wednesday then go pick up a local parts car to strip Thursday-Saturday during the show.
See ya there!

I wasn't gonna go. Really cant afford it but a friend asked me to go down & help sell parts. So I will be going after all. We will be at spaces D 18 & 19. Will be there Thursday to Sunday. You cant miss us, his car trailer has a picture of his demon on the back door that I painted. See you all there

I'm stoked about Carlisle this year, I can really use some ME time away from life.

Looking forward to combing through parts in the hot sun, checking out all the cool cars and taking in some drag racing on Friday and Sunday.

Hope to meet some of you all there as well!

s w Missouri to Carlisle, it is a haul!! I've been twice, last time was bout "95...It was quite a deal then and i'm sure way bigger now. I've been to Nats probably 20 times or so, but havn't been there since bout 2004..

not on my plate this year, maybe next!!???? LOL

all you lucky guys that attend Carlisle, have some fun for me!!!!!

The Folks from South Mountain Drag Strip would love to extend a invite on Friday July 10th to your car club. Camping leave your rig and enjoy the events.
