Carter bbs one Barrel Corroded

hey guys i have this problem where my carter one barrel on my 64 slant six . for some reason my throttle plate on the carb gets corroded and rusty i take it off i flip it over clean it put it back on and same thing a couple days later any ideas? i was think the spark plugs maybe its a 225 with electronic ignition any reply helps thanks
