I have my 65 Barracuda disassembled and am checking things as I head towards reassemble. Is there a way to check the individual guages that are not installed in the car. I'm trying to troubleshoot things as I go. Highs in the mid to upper 90's will keep me from painting this week. Doing small projects indoors.just finished rebuilding the heater box assembly.

The gauges operate at 5 volts. I’ve used a couple AA batteries gives about 3 volts. This should give you about half scale. 3 batteries will give about full scale. This just checks the guage wiring and deflection.

Yep. There are probably hundreds of posts on this board about gauge testing.

The infamous (not me) photoshop. Someone graciously added the resistances to this tester chart

A set of gauges, working, in a cluster, with IVR, should read empty, 1/2 and full scale with the resistances shown
