Iam about to change car. Today my daily driver is a 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad cab 4X4. It has some 150000 miles on the clock

Found a 2006 Chrysler 300C with 32000 miles on it. Has all the extras. BUT, the engine is a 2,7 L V6. What is worth nowing about these engines? They arn't so usual here in Sweden.

2.7 is a good boat anchor :toothy10: but seriously they aren't very good they have oil sludging problems and many others

Not nearly so bad after the redesign.

But it's 190hp in a 4200lb car, definitely a little sluggish on the onramps.

The HEMI will fuel milage with the V6. My Magnum R/T will get 25 on the hiway.

google 2.7 and read the horror stories. I almost bought a charger with one till i investigated them.

The oil galleys in the heads were too small, starving the bottom end and.. well you can guess the result. If the engine was looked after meticulously, it might be OK. My brother had a 2001 Sebring with the 2.7L and it made it 120000 miles with no issues, but maintenance was definitely key. I believe they did a redesign by 2006 however. *edit* Looks like the revision was done in 2004 according to allpar.
