I have a coolant reserve system on my car. (73 Dart 340) I would like to get a coolant reserve system radiator cap. Does anyone have a source and/or a part number?
Thx

Correct me if im wrong but dont all caps do this? I know early systems just puked on the ground but when they added the overflow bottle that was the whole point of it. It expands into the tank and draws it back in the radiator when it cools.
One line goes from the radiator to the bottle and the other is the dump line from the bottle to the garage floor. The line to the radiator to the cap either feeds the radiator or transfers water back to the tank. There is only one line from rad to bottle so the cap either works or doesnt.
Cap doesnt control which hose coolant runs thru. Thats controled by where inside the bottle the lines open end is located.
Low for dump/pick up, higher for overflow/dumping on ground.
I'd swap the two lines on the overflow tank.
Later tanks have the "puke line" molded in so theres no confusing the two.
right, and Jimacuda is saying the connection at the top of the overfill jug may need to be swappedOne line goes from the radiator to the bottle and the other is the dump line from the bottle to the garage floor. The line to the radiator to the cap either feeds the radiator or transfers water back to the tank.
I agreewhere the lines end underneath the overflow bottle cap/inside the bottle determines which is which.
Mine is the dual line cap, but only one line goes to radiator. The other is overflowJimacuda is correct. I think the dual line was only 73 then it became molded into the bottle in 74.
