Core Manual Steering Box

FirmFeel rejected my core for a manual box and the core charge is steep. Looking for a cheap worn out -but not total junk- manual steering box.

How steep? I know where a good core is at the local salvage yard, it's in a Demon.

Just checked their website and it looks to be a $200.00 core charge(ouch)

Core is $175, they said my box was pounded on the sector shaft and cracked. I call B.S or something happened in shipping but who's to say different I'm not there and dont know what the mail man did to it either.

I really can't imagine how the mail could hurt it. I suspect someone beat the pitman arm off with a big hammer and cracked the casting rather than using a proper puller.
I've seen the same on steering columns too. Shaft ruined with a hammer where the wheel retaining nut goes. Good luck
