What size cotter pins how the front end together? I was going to stop tonight and pick some up but not sure of the size. i need some for the strut rods, also need some for tie rods.

Just buy you an assortment. They already have them in a kit.

I thought the strut rod used a split pin, not a cotter pin.

Known as a roll pin. Frankly, unless this was a "concourse" resto, a cotter pin is probably actually better

It does use a roll pin but i want cotter pin in them. I dont think it would make a difference really because if you get to the point the pin is holding it on you have bigger problems lol.

Well it might be ok to use a cotter pin but a roll(split) pin is harder and a snugger fit. A cotter pin is a soft pin and a loose fit in the hole. I am sure there is a reason Mapar used it and not the cheaper cotter pin.

The roll pin I believe is 1/8" so cotter pins that size by 1" long or so is what you need.

I used to work front end, and never saw a roll pin needed. Ever.
