crank endplay

I checked my Crank end play and its between .002 and .0025 should it be more or is this fine?

That sounds like a decent number. However, for any of us to give you a good answer, we'll need to know what engine it is, and the year of manufacture.

.0025" is a good number for a BB or SB, just make sure that you thrust the crank in both directions before torquing the cap that supports the thrust bearing. This will align the upper and lower faces of the thrust bearing halves to each other and may give ya and extra .001 of clearance.

Yea that's right, but for a good "strong" number I use a dial indicator. Also when you've got it all the way in one direction and checked the clearance with your feeler guage try to get a .001" feeler into the touching face to make sure the crank is actually planted against the thrust and no hanging up somewhere, don't ask me where, ya just never know.

Well I kinda felt that .002 was not enough so now I have a .006 and .007 wont fit so Im good now. .002 felt a little tight for me

I install the crank, then #3 main finger tight. Using a soft mallet, i give the crank snout a good couple whachs, then the crank flange at the back. then torque the main bolts and measure the clearance. Anything more than .003 is fine.
