Crimpers

-
My understanding has always been with a soldered connection, the acid in the solder will cause corrosion and lead to a failed connection. Is that just some bullshit?

You need to get the correct crimpers for the terminal and learn how to use them. There’s not a single car made with crimped and soldered connectors and there’s a reason for it.

Not BS. Maybe not as serious with an electrical joint than on an electronics boards??
Use a rosin core thats labeled no corrode or for electronics.
