We were invited to cruise with some folks from a couple of North Georgia car clubs since they were in our area, so we did. Rode to Milledgeville to meet in front of the Tractor Supply and then rode into Gray to have lunch at The Bent Axle Grill. Probably put close to 100 miles on Vixen today. She did great. Was a decent turnout for around here and Mopar was decently represented.

Some more. When was the last time you saw an original supercharged 4 speed Studebaker Avanti?

Andy Granatelli set records I believe at Bonneville with supercharged Avanti's.
I remember the odd duck f body rebadges, and mustang powered versions after the name got bought and sold 5 times, but didn't know a ton about the originals other than being an original Studebaker design with a chevy engine. The weird things that happen in the automotive world!!

Nice photos!
Concerning Studebaker,
If anyone is in the South Bend IN area, there is a large Studebaker museum there that is worth the time to visit.

Gotcha! I know the name changed hands a bunch. Cool the originals were studebakers
He "said" it's been over 160. For what that's worth. I think they're 20 chapters of ugly, but they are just as cool, too.
hey I have a beak car, and a late b body...lol

Avanti is not my favorite Stude, but they've grown on me. If I were Stude shopping there would be a Golden Hawk in my sights...
Just beautiful cars. There's a guy out in the county who has one. EVERYFRIKKINBODY around here has tried to buy it. It's been sittin in the same spot since the early 70s the story goes. I'm pretty sure it's too late.

Lots of nice iron there Rusty.

Well, we kinda were the only car cruising. They met in Milledgeville, but they decided in their infinite wisdom to leave earlier than they said and left us behind. We didn't care, cause we were out for the cruise anyway. It wouldda been cool to ride with everybody, maybe next month.

Studebaker (Golden) Hawk is on my bucket list.
All I could afford is a rough project... i'll never get to the bucket list...too old!
Might have to settle for a Studebaker Conestoga Wagon???
