that should add a few hundred rpm to the limit...unless it just stops pulling
well, I bought them from Rock Auto. It has the factory broomstick for the camshaft, no compression to speak of, probably the most inefficient engine Dodge every built cube per cube since overhead valves were used... LOL Still, it is a lot of cubes.that should add a few hundred rpm to the limit...unless it just stops pulling![]()
Sorry, dude... you're going to be 2nd as I redid my guess & seen your comment afterwards.I’m in for this ride also. Seems the guesses are creeping closer to mine. I hope nobody tops me, I like being at the top of the hill.
DONE !!!Sorry, dude... you're going to be 2nd as I redid my guess & seen your comment afterwards.
If a stock motorhome 440 runs 13.0x in @440willrun’s truck I’ll sell every magnum I own and start buying RVs.
This is part of it, and I'm not forgetting it....deal. And if it goes 16.9 or slower, I will literally let my wife beat it with a sludge hammer and it will be a video on my channel
Chop chop, Hop Sing. You're the one lives up there. lolApril 25th.... we have a little time... LOL. Remember, we aren't in Georgia getting sun tans.... we are in Parka's shovel'n snow...![]()
Got ye added !!I'll hop into this. I think the 440 will surprise some folks. A big block pushing a brick? 13.99...
Got ya down!Put me down for 15.25
We got you down. Also adding plymouth67 for a 15.42 and Elmo65 at 15.99I'll guess 14.82
****Changing my guess from 14.32 to 16.99
****Sorry, dude... you're going to be 2nd as I redid my guess & seen your comment afterwards.

Has to be? More weight, less power, and (likely) less aerodynamic? I mean the only thing the truck would have over a 70 fury would be tires and 4:30 gears. It has to be faster than a 70 Fury GT running mid 15's in stock form, doesn't it? talk about a lead sled. lol
lest you forget: baby stall & and an intake. carb is negligible i suppose.Has to be? More weight, less power, and (likely) less aerodynamic? I mean the only thing the truck would have over a 70 fury would be tires and 4:30 gears.
No way, those 440s had double the powerIt has to be faster than a 70 Fury GT running mid 15's in stock form, doesn't it? talk about a lead sled. lol
The curb weight for the Fury GT is 4100+ #'s.Has to be? More weight, less power, and (likely) less aerodynamic? I mean the only thing the truck would have over a 70 fury would be tires and 4:30 gears.

13.99 here we come!
For what it's worth, I ran a '68 Fury III 4 door hardtop at the track. Police package. Low mileage, stock 383 commando, auto, and the gears were maybe 3.23's?? Factory dual exhaust, factory HP manifolds. Car weighed just over 4100 lbs without me, no spare. It ran lower 15's... 15.2's I think???? But I can't connect any dots from a 383 commando in a Fury to a RV440 in a D150. I think a fairer comparison would be to find what a D150 with a 440 ran in the 1/4 mile, means they came with them. Even a D200 2WD with a 440 would get you a lot closer. Then a person could try and figure the x-factors such as headers, little more converter, and such.No way, those 440s had double the power
