D150 with a RV 440, just to see what it will run

-
My 318 2bbl in a '77 B100 van went 10.9's in the 1/8 at Sikeston, Missouri, and it was HOT!! . That was with like a 1400 stall, lol. Different track in a different state.. I don't think it's the track. That would be what, 16.9 in the 1/4 ??

'70 Fury GT came with 350hp GROSS, the RV 440 rating is NET, no use in attempting to compare those #'s....
Shipping weight was 3,925#, curb over 2 tons,....& came factory w/3.23's.

That say 17 flat for a 10.9 ?? 318 2bbl Van with a full size bed in the back. :) Which will have nothing to do with the truck and RV440 LOL. However, you can rest assured Cordova Dragway is a legit track that host many great events and has a ton of history dating back to 1956 .

My 73 D200 with a 360 weighed 4,000: Dana 60, 16.5 wheels/tires, PS and PB, no A/C, long bed. It ran 17.05 with dual exhaust and a 2 barrel. It was also a Camper Special so the springs were toward the one ton side meaning no weight transfer. But it also didn't spin the tires...much.

Automatic or granny low 4 speed?

Thanks! I liked it also. Cost $1612.49 out the door from Koller Dodge. Was my first truck. Speed at the track was 79.95 MPH with the air cleaner lid flipped over. After a parts store PC rebuild kit, Crane 427/454 cam and kit, Hedman headers with duals to the axle, it would shift into third at 80 according to the speedo. Never got it back to the track. "Somebody" did not correctly install the "welch" (?) behind the cam and it would leak a bit of oil. Took the engine out to fix it and...well, I still have the engine and trans waiting to be installed in something lighter. Some year.

The question is; was Rosie going along for the ride back there.....??
Wife is Ellen, and she was standing at the start line with the camera getting me footage .... LOL

And, this isn't her video, but here I am ... handicap'n a V8 Mustang :D :D and I chased him down for the win! This was in Sikeston, Missouri

Looks like he left on your light.
yeah, we were close on the dial and I think him seeing my top yellow drop while he should have gone cost him the race. Made me feel good that a small block V8 4bbl in a light 'stang got chased down by a 318 2bbl in a van LOL

Just read the whole thread. Awesome project.

I’m guessing 16.2

Check your timing curve for sure, a lot of those 70s big block distributors hold the timing back for too long and give you too much
