Got you added !!15.85
For what it's worth, I ran a '68 Fury III 4 door hardtop at the track. Police package. Low mileage, stock 383 commando, auto, and the gears were maybe 3.23's?? Factory dual exhaust, factory HP manifolds. Car weighed just over 4100 lbs without me, no spare. It ran lower 15's... 15.2's I think???? But I can't connect any dots from a 383 commando in a Fury to a RV440 in a D150. I think a fairer comparison would be to find what a D150 with a 440 ran in the 1/4 mile, means they came with them. Even a D200 2WD with a 440 would get you a lot closer. Then a person could try and figure the x-factors such as headers, little more converter, and such.
There is just about a 4 second discrepancy between the top and bottom. 4 seconds is a LOT in a 1/4. It's what makes it fun.... shows we don't have a clue. When I'm done, we'll know.Got you added !!

LRE were high 14's, but that was a factory HP 360 engine. I can't even draw a line from that comparison, a HP 360 vs RV440.You would think there would be published times for factory Warlock 440's.
What's the time for a 360 LRE?
That's at least a starting point.
The head mill the headers, new valve springs and a good tuner and driver.lest you forget: baby stall & and an intake. carb is negligible i suppose.
13.99 here we come!
Wallace calculators say .... well what do they say?? I got to have a HP rating that's accurate to plug in the weight and have it spit out an ET. And no calculator factors in a pickup (or van), and it does make a difference at the big endspeedwaymotors.com has a quarter mile calculator.
to be fair, though, the head mill was just getting back the same amount I lost on the head gasket thickness. The head mill the headers, new valve springs and a good tuner and driver.
They were still rated at 8.5 and blueprinted lower. So there's your line.LRE were high 14's, but that was a factory HP 360 engine. I can't even draw a line from that comparison, a HP 360 vs RV440.
muh huh. ok. lolto be fair, though, the head mill was just getting back the same amount I lost on the head gasket thickness.
I actually measured, to be honest lolmuh huh. ok. lol
With headers intake carburetor and new springs plus your good tune I wouldn't be afraid to use 325HP for the calculator.Wallace calculators say .... well what do they say?? yeah yeah. sure sure.I actually measured, to be honest lol
Yeah, everything down to the size of the gas pedal makes a difference.Wallace calculators say .... well what do they say?? I could go with that, 325 gross. That would be a reasonable guess. With headers intake carburetor and new springs plus your good tune I wouldn't be afraid to use 325HP for the calculator.
That's all I ever speak in is gross numbers. You don't really know where net is, because you don't really know exactly how they figured it.I could go with that, 325 gross. That would be a reasonable guess.
Little Red Express had 225 net hp, the warlock 440 had 195 net hp according to googleYou would think there would be published times for factory Warlock 440's.

Yeah they're fulla crap. I know someone who had a collection of Warlocks, Lil Reds and all the rest from the 70s. The Warlocks with the 440s would melt the rear tires. Easily.Little Red Express had 225 net hp, the warlock 440 had 195 net hp according to google
Well, I'm gonna push mine to the max I can, obviously. Whatever is in it, I plan on squezz'n it out. 15.9, or 13.9, here we come!Yeah they're fulla crap. I know you will, but make sure to give it a good loose ignition curve.Well, I'm gonna push mine to the max I can, obviously. Whatever is in it, I plan on squezz'n it out. 15.9, or 13.9, here we come!
I’m starting to trust the clocks at your track less and less. For what it's worth, I ran a '68 Fury III 4 door hardtop at the track. Police package. you need a new source of info. I went 15.9's with a stone stock 318 2bbl in a B-body with only dual exhaust added. 904 and I believe 2.94 gears.Read this quote…..
