dash off help

I have been trying to remove the dash from 68 dart for a few days now. as anyone accomplish this lately. the steering column can stay in the car right? now the hand brake stays with the dash I believe. speedo is disconnected. of coarse all the bolts are out. anyone tell me what else I have to undue please.

Column needs to be removed. Pretty much everything connected to the rear and lower portion of the dash needs to be disconnected. Is the windshield still in the car? If so, gonna be a rough time accessing the bolts under the lower portion of the windshield gasket. There are 2 bolts above the kick panels as well.

May have missed some things and I'm sure others will reply.

I have heard that a dash will NOT come out with the windshield still installed. Basically everything under the dash has to be disconnected. Here is the link for a factory service manual you were asking about in your other thread.

In the yoke area of the dash where the steering column runs, There may be a small bolt there. I don't know why some have it some don't, column shift may be a factor.
With everything else undone the dash would rotate on the kick panel bolts to face down then lift off.

yes my windshield is out and so is the gasket. thanks for the manuals. you guys are the best. much appreciated. just love this site. thank you so much.

do ya self a favor. friend of mine in idaho taught me this. put the bolt clips on upside down, and put the bolts in from underneath. you'll need shorter bolts
