The only thing that could kill my point A to B daily driver, another car! Traffic came to sudden stop and I stopped with about 10 to 15 feet between myself and a truck in the front. I looked up in my rearview mirror just in time to see a car approaching at a high rate of speed about to hit me. Strangely enough, the airbags never deployed. I am officially retiring in February for good and my wife and I had just talked about keeping this car for general running around our hometown. Obviously that option is out now!

Glad you're okay. Get checked out by your doctor and make sure you get a attorney, chances are the clown that hit you was on their stupid phone. You want to be sure that you get your medical bills paid for and another car, plus money for yourself. I'm not sue happy but what is right is right.

Glad you're ok! You'll be sore tomorrow though, so get checked for whiplash ASAP. Looks like you got pushed up under a bigger vehicle of some kind. The air bag sensors were probably below the point of impact is why the bags didn't deploy.

Looks like there's damage right under the right headlight, I don't know where those air bag sensors are, I'd be glad they didn't deploy that way there's a lesser chance of getting hurt by those stupid things. Ive been seeing more law suits over people being hurt and even killed over those air bags. If they would build these cars from something other than plastic and Styrofoam and tighten the nut behind the wheel would all that would be needed

I'm going to see a chiropractor later today. This happened last Wednesday, so I've already been to the ER and gotten the mandatory CT, X-Rays, muscle relaxers and Ibuprofen. Book value and replacement value are spread pretty far apart, so have to see what insurance offers and go from there. Going to cost me no matter how I go forward.

....Strangely enough, the airbags never deployed..........
Had a similar experience a while back. Some pain/soreness lingered for months.
Waiting in a line to make a left off a 4 lane highway (no turn lanes), our year-old Journey got smacked in the back by a full size van at 30 mph and jammed into an Escalade ahead. No air bag deployed for this either. .......

Don't depend on the insurance company for anything, having a attorney is the way to go. As far as your car goes if you're below the national average for the mileage on it increases it's value. You want medical, car and pain and suffering. Usually a rear end accident is worth a good amount. Best yet, don't even talk to the insurance company let your attorney handle it for you.

Wow, that looks and sounds familiar!

Sorry for the late reply, but from experience I can relate. I had whiplash from an accident and had to have almost a year of treatment from the chiropractor and had to do some stretching exercises for my neck. Also due to the injury, I was getting pain in face, which was bad enough that the doctor prescribed me some powerful muscle relaxing meds. I only took the meds a few times if the pain was too unbearable because I did not want to rely on them. Anyway I hope you are doing well and making a good recovery.

Thanks Ant. Driver who caused the accident insurance adjuster finally admitted fault and is giving me replacement value for my Camry. Of course, if I didn’t have an attorney, it wouldn’t have happened. I’m still going to PT for my neck, so we’ll see how it all works out. I retired for good week before last and I’m enjoying not making the daily commute into work anymore!
