I have a console and was told it's out of a A body.
AADC 2589594 ( housing )
PT 2589599 (Top plate )
Can anyone tell me what this is out of?
Thanks.

Pics....there wasn't much of a choice as far as consoles go.

Show some pics and your answer will come in bunches....

A body console...covers many years.

Since it's has the recessed stripe down the center I am assuming it is 67.
Should be painted silver.
sometime after 67 the cover has a lock on the cover....push button lock.
You can get woodgrain or carbon fiber stickers on e-bay to cover the center portion.

At least that is what I know or think I know.

67 and 68 both were silver painted top. 69 & up woodgrain applique with console lock. I could be mistaken, but if I recall correctly the same top plate was used under the applique.

Thanks! Any idea what this might be worth?

I have one with a number of 2589599. It's white with orange inserts!
All the ones I've seen have been black. It says underneath that its orange
Vinyl. Does anyone know if this is something special in this paint scheme?
Thanx
