Demon, Duster?

-

Only differences in the rear, as mentioned, revolve around the side marker lights and possibly the bumper ends, depending on having 5mph bumpers or not. The big, obvious difference is the front fenders where the rear of the front wheel opening angles back towards the rocker panel on Dodge Darts & other A-bodies while the Duster & other Plymouth A-bodies have a more squarish front wheel opening.

Hi All, having a conversation with a guy at the 71-72 Demon site and he says the rt. (or I guess both) quarter panels are different for Dusters and Demons. I assumed they were the same. is there a difference? I just did my rt. quarter and just wanted to offer him some help.

Tell him he's wrong.
And if he insists he's right, get him to point out the differences in the sheet metal for the quarters.
Sure, the tail panel and tail lights are different and so is the entire front clips between the two cars.
Obviously, the badges, stripes, and the V.I.N. are different between the two.
The only difference quarter panel related are on the '71 models were the side marker light bezels were different.
The bezels on a demon were chromed and the Duster were body colored.
The red lenses were the same.
BTW, Demons were only built for the '71 and '72 model years, and Dusters were built from the 1970 model year until the end of the 1976 model year.

He's wrong. Pure and simple.
Tell him to argue the point with AMD.

And I bet if you looked up the factory part numbers, they would match.
