dexron 3 trans fluid

i was told to use dexron 3 trans fluid in my 904, i went to get some but all a found was dexron 3 mercon, is that the same fluid i need just double checking? thanks

Yes, it is compatible fluid.

No real need to spend megabucks on any particular brand. The fluid either meets the spec or it doesn't. I tend to buy Chevron by the case.
