Just bought today a 318 running engine (4104230-318-1), manifold numbers 318/360 (10-21-80) with 904 trany, 8.25 limited slip with 11 inch drum brakes (wondering about the 11 inch drum brakes), drive shaft, radiator with dual fans, flowmaster exhaust dual system and a few other pieces for $800.00 all of it. All of it was on a 1966 Valiant Signet convertible the guy is parting out. It is going on a 1966 Dodge Dart that I am working on...

Sounds like it

Nope, you didn't do "OK", you did great! If it's all in good shape, that's an easy way to get a car on the road in a heartbeat.

Good buy. You will need a longer driveshaft and lengthen the exhaust pipes as the Dart is longer than the Valiant.

Find me a 426 Hemi for that price. I'll throw in a extra $20 for you. I think you have the best score of the day!

Sure, 8.25's falling out of the sky....
If it seems like im jealos, its because i am....

Great score. Would put my 65 in motion in a matter of days.

Yes on the 11'' brakes. In the mid 70's because of a strike,Chrysler had to use what was on the shelf and had plenty of 11''x2'' from the "C" body cars that were fitted to the "A's" 8 1/4 axle.I got one from a 74 Valiant that had 11'' drums.

My best deal today was a brand new tan distributor cap without the black little vent cap on it for free. New. Still in the box. I like the old school look.
