Did I get to "Greedy" Today? Did a double car show Saturday and the ending not so good!

This is my car but I wasn't driving. Drag radials and rain are a dangerous combo. Glad to hear you are OK, cars can be replaced or rebuilt.

Sorry that happened! Drag radials or not, hitting water like that will result in a hydroplane. Who’s your insurer? I’d be curious to see how how they pony up on the claim.

Most important thing is , you are alive to talk about it
I wouldn't be surprised if the rad support isn't toast.
Haggarty. Always treated me fair, and paid fast.

Well, I know this is hindsight BS and all......but now you know. If there's ever a next time, either pull over for a bit or CRAWL through it. It's a gorgeous car. You'll get it fixed. Just really glad you didn't haave to fix YOU.
Rusty,

Might be the time to finish the whole "Stock" thing. Put the factory wheels and redlines on, suspension parts are bent so the engine/trans and K will be coming back out the bottom again. It is still 4" bolt pattern
I have 3 wheels. I have the repro 893 pan and pickup! The car has been out there for 10.5 years now and maybe a re-model during this repair is a good idea.

The good, Both Fenders, Headlight Bezels, Marker light's survived. Hood, Header panel,Valence, Grills, Bumper and more went by,by!
A great opportunity to fix what ain't broke...
Fiberglass front clip!

That might be a good idea. Isn't it a numbers car? I think if I had one, that's how I would want it. I'd get a plain one for a hot rod.

Sorry for your misfortune. I had to drive home 45 minutes in heavy rain from a good guys show a few years ago and was puckered up the whole time. Glad neither you nor the car was hurt too bad.

Brother, you are upright and able to post about your accident. That makes you one lucky man! The car can be fixed, it sucks but you survived. Keep us posted on the progress

Man that sucks! Glad you're ok and hopefully you're able to just take it to someone skilled and have it fixed. You could always buy a beater to scratch the itch the rest of the summer......

Reminds me of when I ditched my Harley after a heavy rain...come to think of it I rode that thing in a hurricane once it was raining sideways. Anyways it was the same I needed tires...I slid off the blacktop on a corner and into mud went right down...things like this happen and its usually fast and unexpected.

If there is ever a good time for an accident in a 69 fish it's when there are several 69 cars in the parts car Forum. That is a shame...I always fear Karrin will do that in one of our cars. So far, the Mopar minivan is the only one that was totaled...it was on loan to her oldest daughter. I'm glad you are well and a speedy recovery to your fish!

I had one of those days on the Honda CB750 back when I was not afraid of a little road rash! Gave that up in the early 80's after a particularly scary oscillation at 120mph, was telling JESUS if he let me survive this
I will park it and get rid of it! I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt with sandals. The gas tank was well indented from my knees squeezing tight! I was able to gradually slow the bike down, returned home never going more
than 40. The bike was gone in 2 days!

Filed the Haggarty report they sent yesterday, it was an app they texted. I could not get the hood open, and did not want to crawl under to try to start removing bolts.
Seems the release is caught between the crumpled up beak. I can see from the driver side were the hood is bent up that the Core support and Radiator are nice and straight, at least on the top side.
The frame rails are tweaked out a small amount at the bumper bracket mounting points. My 2 older brothers are going to drop by on Saturday and we will likely get the hood open and hopefully
drop the K/Motor/Trans out the Bottom and attach the body wheels back on the front bumper mounts. Glad I kept them and the lifting jig after Resto in 2012-2014! I will have a better picture off all the damage
at that point and will Start another Thread on the repair.

That's alot of damage, not counting the $5,000 in damage the tow truck driver did dragging it off the tree and torquing it down to the flatbed.

I was there the whole time and these were good ole boys that were practically crying as they arrived on Scene! Not sure but some Mopars and Early Barracuda's get love an respect around Dawsonville.
The Flat bed driver hung out for at least 2 hours waiting on his Boss. He showed up with a much bigger wrecker and boom. First thing out of his mouth was I think I am going to cry. I will skip forward
and he took control to make a sling and raise the back side to remove the large stump. They were able to bring in the flat bed at that point slowly lift the car up and out of the overhang!

Turns out the tow folks were mutual friends of a previous neighbor of mine that passed away and felt a discount was in order! We reciprocated with a handsome tip!

This is how lots of things work in the South, Why we live here, and continue to!

Glad you posted that. Pictures don't always tell the whole story.
