I done gone and did it again :toothy7:
Gave my two weeks notice, and start my new job on Feb. 5th.
I have had enough of this place.
I had a sit down meeting with my managers boss a few months ago, and I told her that they keep adding more and more work, with no compensation.
Her responce " It will look good on your resume "
And so it did.
I took over someones job that has been out on medical leave since September 28th. This person makes at least $20,000 more a year than me. I got $0.00 extra to do this, and only 2 days of training, but I still worked my butt off to keep the program working.
He won't be back until Feb 12th and my last day is Jan 29. Wonder how they're going to cover this.

It was pretty funny last week after I told them. I think I sent them into a bit of Panic mode.

Congrat's on the new move,And I hope you will be happy at the new job,

There is nothing good about working some where you are not happy.

Go get'em Mopar71

Haha Mopower71, sounds like what I did with my old boss. Worked there 6 months and he gives me a 50 cent rasie when I put in my notice, then I see him in town one day and he begs me to comeback since 2 more people quit. Oh well, thats what happens when you dont treat your employees right!

thats right, best of luck :wav:

Congrats on the change. Although I personaly believe in going into biz for yourself because so long as you work for someone else, you are just making someone else all the money. Especially love the effect it has on prior employers when they realaize you have not only quit being screwed by them and they no longer get to pay for their vacations on your hard work, but it especialy funny when they realize you have gone into direct competition with them and undercut their prices because you can trim the fat of their profits from the cost and still make yourself an excellent living. A lot of companies out there need to learn it is the people that do the work that keep them afloat, not the bean counters or paper pushers, or so called "CEO's".

Good luck with the new job Norm!
I been seriously thinking of making a change myself,we have a union shop and the union and company have been aguing over a contract for over 2 years now.
So that means no raise of any kind in the last 2 years,it's getting really frustrating the union has been losing members left and right because they are so discusted with both sides.
