Direct Connection spoiler mounting questions.

Those with DC spoilers, have you found a good way to mount them without them cracking over time? Last two were put on with normal rivets and eventually would crack around the tabs. I thought about using plastic ones like they originally came with or a rivet nut and bolt with a rubber washer and maybe some welting under the spoiler to act as a cushion. Thanks

The problem with them is that the mounting pocket doesn’t sit flush to the trunk lid. Originally they came with plastic push rivets, those would have more give and less tension on them than metal rivets or screws that most folks use.

So I’d say either use plastic push rivets, or back up the pockets with some kind of rubber so they don’t crack under the tension.
