disc brake swap turn full resto

Thx but its cars like yours that's the true inspiration. I hope it turns out nice. I think we have another day of welding and grinding then mud work.view still have to install my sub frame connector.

Ty. I got my frame connecters from summit 108 length. I think they were competition engineering. Came out good just had to drill new hole for emergency cable.

I'm going to do mine like they did on valiant effort. I've already bought the x2 2"x2"x44"x.125" wall square tubing. Cost me less than $25. I'm not going to push it past 400hp so I fig it should be good. I'm doing it to improve the handling mostly.

That's cool that your building your own. I didn't have option. I needed them on mine with the big block. I have late 60's 383 hp motor I would like to make a stroker with don't think it's in the budget this year.

This year its paint, body, and brakes (maybe the head light mod). Next year I'd like to get going on the 360/727 and the 69 b body 8.75 with limited slip ($100 junk yard rear end). I need to buy gears thinking 3.55 or 3.73. The rear is all torn down with the perches moved cleaned and painted with the 11" drums all rebuilt.

We picked out the best two out of my seven fenders. Did a little patch work and coated the back side with por15.

Por15 the rear cross member while i had it out.

Because were using the 67 door instead of the 68 plus I rebuilt the lower hinge we have to reshoot that jam before we can hang the fenders plus we spent about 2 hours adjusting the hinges and strikers so the doors open and close nice (not that they didn't before) and all the body lines up.

Lost about 4 hours of time today to work on the car filling out paper work and seeing a dr for a foot injury that happened at work about 4 months ago. I didnt file a report then because i didnt think it was that bad but Ive since reinjuried it 4 times in 5 months and fig I should have it checked out. They took 3 x rays and saw no breaks but want me to see a specialist. So it was noon by the time I got to Dans and when I showed up I heard him sanding.

The hood is sitting a little low on the left but once the hood bumpers are on it will sit level across.

Sorry about your foot. But man you are making some excellent progress looks real good..i like the color choice almost thought that color for mine. But I think I'm going with a rootbeer brown maybe metallic. Nice job on the doors and fenders lines look good. Something I still have to do. Always something. Lol

Its weird how I can reinjure my foot just walking (doesnt matter what shoes i wear). my other colors of choice was artic blue with pearl or med green/bronze metallic. Dan is going to get started on the front fenders on friday while im por15 the trunk and floors. my goals for saturday/sunday since we dont work on the car on the weekend is to clear out my storage and polish all the chrome

sub frame connectors done. not perfect and a real pain in the *** when you dont have a lift.

Por15 all the troublesome parts underneath (rear sub frame, front sub frame, and floor mounts) today while Dan has been busy sanding and filling the driver side. Sorry no pictures as I was rushed today because if a podiatrist appointment.

Ordered new carpet, 3/8" sending unit (to match the new fuel line), and sending unit tool last night (ive used brass punches in the past and tired of it). i plan to cap the return line on the sending unit off but glad to know its there if i need it down the road like if i switch to fuel injection. plan to do some detailing under the car on monday. hope to have the gas tank and line back in on tue. Dan is still working on the body work. I need to drill my holes for my badges on the rear quarters also. I still need to take my seats to one of the local shops and have them redone along with ordering bumpers.

Had a bit of free time last night. Cleaned, painted, and lightly polished with 1000 grit wet dry sand paper.

I am falling behind on my build compared to yours. Nice job on the connecters, grill pieces look great and straight. Oh and clip that toenail. Lol. Been working on my jimmy for the winter, new fuel tank and pump, muffler and tail pipe, new alternater and battery. The fun never stops...

Odd my toe nail looks longer in the picture than it actually is. We are hoping to have the car in primer by Friday.
