I bought a 2000 2500 Ram. The battery was dead on it, so I had it wreckered home. I put a new battery in it and the alarm goes of each time I connect the battery. It also will not start and the fob for the alarm doesn't do a thing. Does anyone know how to do away with the alarm system?

Thanks in advance.

one find out what alarm system is on it then go to it's web page and down load the wiring dia. then print. take the printed copy go pull the drivers side panel under steerring wheel. find the alarm box and follow the wiring Dia. rehook wires that have been added to alarm box and remove alarm box there may also be a relay with the alarm that may need to be removed. if you don't think you can do this you can take to a place that puts them in and they should be able to take it out. hope this helps

The remote has a fresh battery in it, and I have no idea who the alarm manufacturer is.

can you get the wireing for the truck and then compare it to what you have

or pull the panel and see if there is a name on the controller box for the alarm
