I am just looking at my headers and mini starter situation, and it appears as though I might need a longer set. I found a new set for a good price, but they wont do me much good if they aren't long enough.

How did you guys run your cables so the don't get burned from the exhaust?

Pictures perhaps?

Thanks!

I made mine. I use 1 ga for pos, and 2 ga for negative. Both ends are soldered/heat shrunk.

Ditto. Cable is cheap and you can get the ends of the cable from auto part stores easy enough. Measure ruffly with ethier a tape measure or string and ask for that length at the store. Get the cable ends as needed and crimp on for a temp hold, then do what RED did above. Heat shrink wrap over the soldered. (Put them on before you put on the cable ends. ;) )

Now, at least you can run a custon length way around any problem points.

No, My factory positive length cable goes right thru the split in my Hooker header pipes with plenty of clearance. Wrap some extra black insulation tape or high temp cloth in that area if you're worried about the heat.
