That might have worked, chem strip didn't do much as you can see in the first picture.

So I like this stuff!
No water.

Looks great to me on my recovered from the Titanic 8 3/4 rear.
I used a wire wheel on my grinder and knocked the scale back.
Then one coat looked like this on a test tube.

Just did a compression test on the slant.
It turns by hand from the front damper.

#1 0 PSI
#2 0 PSI
#3 0 PSI
#4 0 PSI
#5 0 PSI
#6 0 PSI

That's a joke, I turned about 6 times, zero resistance.

I haven't pulled the cover.
That should be fun!

Slowly getting the front stuff cleaned and fixed.
Going to put the Lite on hold for a while to get the Colt and tow rig ready to go in April.
I got the headlamp buckets cleaned and painted.
Latch support blasted and primed.
Fixed the two cracked supports on the grill.
And last removed a ton of z-bart rust goo overspray from the bottom of the grill.

Shout out to RAT ROD AL for the wheelhouse cover.
It's the Tan one in the pictures.
It's for a 73 and you know Chrysler, they had to change the dumbest stuff.
The 73 is slightly different with some details.
I can make it work.

Scored some 14 X 6 rear wheels this weekend for the rear end to fill the wheel wells.
Also got some 8 3/4 shock plates and U Bolts for the rear swap.

I had sent my Distributor to Bill in MO.
He got it all squared away, run on his Sun Machine and returned it with data.
Engine would not have started with all he found wrong!
Thanks Bill!

I saw a post a couple days ago about tariff charges, then the radio talked about empty shelves.
So I got skared and pulled the pin on my Radiator, Gas Tank and Axle set.
Not ready to do any of that but the parts will be here when I need them.

Did some inspecting this afternoon before the rain.
Original Engine, I found the VIN stamp.
Engine build date about a month before car build date.
Engine has a cast crank.

There is a Facebook page for Feathers and Lites.
A Lite was posted yesterday and it looked familiar.
I looked at the Fender Tag and dang, same car!
I had looked at this Lite 7 or 8 years ago.
It was missing way too many parts for me to buy then.
It was in an area called Lake of Pines Texas.
Now it's down near Houston still missing a ton of parts but pretty rusty now.
About 5 hours apart.
Poor little Lite :(
