Planning to make my Duster a daily driver...currently has a 14" wheel and a very old 185/75 tire. I'm considering grabbing a Jeep donut as a spare (T125/90D16, from base-model XJ Cherokees, about 25"). Anyone done this? I see absolutely no reason this will not work.

Do you have disc and drum brakes? Just get the spare and try it on the front and rear and if it has no clearance issues then you are good to go...

Stock 73 brakes, though I'll probably go with 11.75" B-body rotors when I replace the fronts. I'm not worried about clearance-it's a 16" wheel. Just wondering if I missed something obvious here.

I did this for the spare for my 69 Dart. I used a larger tire, but the same idea and wheel from a Jeep.

I used a Ford spare in the Charger. 17 inch rim and 27 inch overall diameter, same as my road wheels.
