door pin switch

I was wondering if they make door light pin switches that are longer and shorter as the passenger door when it is shut the dome lamp stays on. So I just need a pin switch that is about a 1/4 inch longer.

I was able to get one washer on my drivers side pin, it still screwed back in, and kept the pin out far enough that the lights shut off when the door was shut..

Right and left should be the same length but to answer your question, yes, there are many different length door switches through the years. They also made 1, 2, and 3 wire switches. I've also seen the center sleeve in the switch come loose and move out of position so you may want to check yours by comparing it to the other side.
