I found 3 pictures of this car on www.autospies.com coverage of the 2005 SEMA show. It looks like a 4-cylinder turbocharged drag car.

Has anyone seen this before? Do you have any idea who built it?

What engine is in that car?

( I found the information yesterday, lost it, and just found more details today )

Check out picture #27 in the construction gallery:

http://www.radrides.com/69cuda.html

It turns out, the engine is commonly called "the midget motor", 1/2 of the LA small block mopar V8 (318, 360, etc.) Compare picture #27 with the pictures on this page:

http://www.allpar.com/mopar/la4.html

From some of the pictures, it looks like it might have a different head. The SEMA picture, and picture #27 contradict each other, it looks like #27 is a picture of the valve cover sitting on top of the block. Picture #17 shows the Midget Motor with the head sitting on top.

The Allpar page indicates, that both LA-style and Hemi heads are available for this engine.
