hey guys have a Q I have a chancce to pick up a full drive train 318 tranny and rear but it came out of a a 68 plymouth fury. I know the motor and tranny are good for my 66 abody but will the rear bolt up and should I get the rear either way? thanks for any info on this
 
thanks thats what i thaught. Ill prob just look into getting the motor and tranny.
 
The trans will probably be a 727 instead of a 904. The dog house (bell housing relief) on the 66 and older A's are smallish and from what I have read, you may have problems fitting a 727 in there. Some people say you can fold over or cut off and butt weld the pinch weld seam that goes across the dog house, to gain the necessary clearance. In my opinion easier to use a built 904.
 
If the rear is a 8.75 and the price is right u should grab it.Because that 318 will break the stock rearin time
