Here's a work-in-progress reference sheet I made. Could probably check and fill in the factory part numbers now

Here's set of Firestone relined 288s I bought because I knew what number and shape to look for and a little bit of luck.

331 (relined by Porterfield)

The 331 shoes seem to work OK with the earlier system too.
So you could stay with the shoes you bought and still use the '68 adjuster system if you prefer.
The pin is just press fit if and can be knocked out. Pretty sure that's what I did when in that situation.
Not to drag this post on too much, but these are the Wagner shoes that I bought from Rockauto. The are labeled Z331, and obviously look like the 331 shoes in your diagram. I wonder if these are vintage 331 shoes that are relined by Wagner, or if they just stamp them out new ones using the 331 style.

151, 256, 288, and 331 is an agreed to designation by the brake companies. FMS or FMSI is the friction manufacturers trade organization.
It's usually stamped or printed on the shoe frame somewhere.
Some companies incorporate the number into their product number and some don't.

Same with brake pads. For example the Kelsey Hayes 4 piston calipers use D11 pads regardless of who made it or whether they are for a Dodge Ford or Chevy.
Knowing that lets us ID a pad or shoe without a box, usually

And to answer what the Z331 Wagner Brake Shoes are — they are a stamped out , brand new ( notice , no cores ) ,
Made in China , ( Chineseum garbage ) brake shoes that will have issues stopping a car because the braking surface is way too aggressive, and will rip up brake drums to smithereens….

rock auto is the queen of Chineseum selling garbage….
