I bought a big bolt disc set up from a guy out in WA and during shipping the boxes got beat up... in the end, they showed up to me tattered, and missing the prop valve and one of the control arms. The dude who i bought it from was cool enough to refund part of the money, but now I have one control arm, and i'm not sure if it's a drivers side or pass side.

My 65 gt is currently in storage so i have nothing to reference, and i know this is probably a stupid question, i'm not sure which control arm i need!

I jacked this picture off of one of the classified here... can someone just state the obvious and let me know if i'm right or wrong? The top one is the drivers side, and the bottom is the pass side, right?

Thanks!

The top one is a Right side, (passengers) side.
The bottom one is a Left side (drivers) side.

I have an spare RIGHT side 73-76 UCA, that i could sell to you, when you find out what side you need.
Or, i currently have a pair of UCA's in stock, with good, recently replaced, ball joints in them.

You guys have it backwards, the dimples for the droop stops are to the front. The front of the car would be to the left of the pic......

What are you talking about? Backwards?
The pictures the original poster has are correct.
The top UCA is a right side (passenger) one, and bottom UCA is the left side (drivers) side.

Oops, my error.
I re read the OP's description, and he has his description for the UCA's (backwards)

Lol, thanks for the answers. I have the bottom one, which i now assume is a drivers side.

so yeah, HEMI71X, I'd be interested in grabbing the pass (top one in the picture) side from ya if it's reasonable. A dude on evilbay has one for $50 shipped, but I'd rather support someone in our community so let me know if you're down to match him, otherwise no worries, I'll just grab that one.

As for the question about the shipping debacle, It was FedEx, who i haven't had problems with in the past, but this time was a royal pain in the *** to deal with. You would think that if a heavy old control arm was banging loose around the back of your trucks you would turn it in..and it would be easy to look it up. There's gotta be some kind of lost and found right? I told them i wasn't even interested in the money, and would be happy if they just looked for the part, but it's like following a trail of people who could care less, and have no relationship to the people doing the deliveries. What a mess.
I the end, the seller decided it was not worth his or my time to keep arguing with them, and he sent me a partial refund, which was very fair of him.

Thanks again for the help, guys!

Looks like you allready have your bases covered in locating a replacement LCA for your needs.
Go for that one, as i can't beat that guys price for it, and shipping included.
If i can find these things around my area anymore, they cost me almost $35.00 each to purchase.
Then i clean them up, soak them out in a 5 gallon pail of Evaporust, remove the shot, old, worn out bushings.
I have to mark them up to make a profit for my labor time in pulling them off the donor car in the wrecking yard, and doing my thing to them, before i put them up for resale.
Good luck.
