I was involved in an accident in my 72 Demon (360) where a concrete drainage block made contact with the front drivers side lip of my K frame and drivers side lower control arm, causing a dent in the K frame, a bent strut on the driver side, and a bent lower control arm on the drivers side. All of this needs to be replaced. While I’m in there, I’m planning on replacing virtually everything up front for the suspension and steering.
The current K frame, steering and brakes are from a 73 smallblock V8. The bolt pattern is now big bolt pattern for the wheels.
I was only able to find a 72 A body V8 K frame, so I’m going to have to convert all the steering back to 72 parts.
My question is, once I change the steering components back to 72, will the tie rods connect and operate properly to the current steering knuckles for the wheels? Or do they need to be changed back as well?
I’d like to keep the current disc brakes and BBP if possible.
Thanks!

Your going to need to convert your motor mounts too. 73-up when to spool mounts, 72- down is biscuit. Be easier to find a 73-up K.

Stabilizer bars are different too. Steering gear, center link, pitman arm, idler arm, all stay a matched group, pre or post 1973. Odd that you called out the one member that can flip,,, tie rod ends.
