Dynomax Ultra Flow Oval vs Round

Those sound awesome. Based on the other post seems like the oval version is still fairly loud?

Thanks.

They are a tad on the loud side, I get a bit of drone from them mostly. I bought a set of their 3" race bullets to put inline with them to hopefully quiet it down just a touch and remove the drone.

Awesome thanks. You are one of the first I’ve read about reporting any drone though. I found some of the 2.5” version for $70 a pop. Think I’m going to go with those. Thanks for posting up

Mines 3" all the way with massive headers, so that might contribute to the drone. That video is with full tail pipes too, I currently just have turn downs amd it's more noticeable.

Ok good to know. I’m going to see how the turndowns sound on mine before messing with the damn tail pipes again.

Hooker Max Flo or Aero Chamber.
Warlock sounds good too.
All are free flowing and no drone.
Engine masters did a 1000 horsepower muffler shoot out.(with a blown bbc). The hooker max flows COMPLETELY won it.
They actually MADE power compared to open headers, were lightest cheapest, made most power, and were second quietest. (Giant heavy Flowmaster was quieter)

I just switched mine from the dynomax race bullets to the hooker maxflow, much better this way, since mine is street/strip the bullets were very loud inside the hookers are loud but no where near as bad and cruising can talk better with my passenger. My youngest (8 yes old)even likes it better, had to wear ear protection before, but now he doesnt.

Ended up getting the Dynomax ultra flow welded ovals 2.5” on sale. Just got em on and am surprised how quiet they are for a straight through muffler, even with turn downs. I’ll see how they do the next few weeks. Solid chance I’ll be getting something with a bit more bark to them though.

My 360 runs TTIs ,and their 3" full length dual system, with their supplied dynomax triple-pass ovals, and turndowns .
I had to cut out the H-pipe to fit the GVod.
I had no drone at 65= 2870 before overdrive with the H,
nor afterwards at 65= 2240, without the H.
They have what I would call, a pleasant sound when driving normally, Not quiet, but just right. The turn-downs are IMO, key-players
But when I stand on it , by the time I hit 7000, they are, wailing like banshies. Then off the gas and into 4-over, and I blend right in with traffic.
To tell the truth the tires are screaming too, so the pipes by themselves might be a lil quieter.
But the thing is, I've never heard them from the sidewalk, cuz my only son won't nail the gas!
