Early A-Body Trunk Light Option??

I found a 63 or 64 Dart GT convertable in a junkyard, it had a trunk light in it, appears to be factory, was this an option? I have never seen one, I bought it and will post pics later today. It has a bracket the bolts to the gutter under the trunk gasket on the left side, it has 2 screws and a switch in it, the light was mounted under the front edge of the deck lid under the gutter. Thanks!

Usually a trunk light was part of a "Light Package" on Mopars, not a stand alone option. Depending on the model, it may also include an under-hood light, extra map light, hood-mounted turn signals, and other stuff like that. If you're interested in the other junk, you might go back and check it out.

My 65 Newport has the trunk & map light. My 64 and 65 A's don't.

FWIW I was looking at a '63 Signet at the junkyard and it had a trunk light.
