Can someone chime in on this 64 cuda recircle-ball type. Are these parts available? Aside from center there is some rough turning in another spot. Before I tear apart was wondering if I am going to find the parts. Want to stay original.

I assume this is a manual box? I would take it apart regardless, since there isn't much inside and hard to mess up. If originally a slant, it has a simple bushing on the output shaft instead of needle bearings. I took mine apart recently and replaced only the seals. See my post. Most important is to re-pack the grease, since probably dry inside. Seach also for a moparts post that gives factory PN's, though most no longer available. The input and output shaft seals are the same as in a power box (less dust shield), if you get stuck. See rockauto.

What I did was to take to a local rebuilder for 210 dollars. When I did this years ago to a 64 furd manual I was amazed by the improvement. local for no postage.

high spots usually can be adjusted out with the sector shaft nut, There is a natural high spot right in the middle though. That box was the same for a number of years so if you get a lead on another one, just make sure its an A, the B and later A's had a larger shaft. pretty EZ to get into and clean and lube.
