We are putting a eddy 500 and an offy intake on my girlfriends 72 scamp with a 225. I have heard that you should mount the carb so it faces the driverside fender so the fuel wont have to hang a sharp left to get in the motor. But I see more cars with the carb mounted streight on. What do you guys think?

I believe it's the primarys should face toward the engine and secondarys closer to the drivers fender.
Take this picture in your head if you can. Mount carb normal, then twist it to the right 90* to the right.

Just my 2cents, but i sure hope that slant has some good gearing, cam, head work, etc. If its stock with a 4bbl intake, im willing to bet you will have some issues. 500cfm is a lot unless its hopped up a good amount.
