The 2 leads makes it a "Lean-Burn" distributor.

Lean burns used a single pick up without the centrifugal advance weights. The dual pickups was used after lean burn in the mid 80's and had a relay that switched between the two.

Not sure. Some of the racers might like it for starting retard on a locked advance.

Heck yeah there's value to it.

TWO timing settings! Think: Race gas/bad gas. Boost/vacuum. Nitrous/no-Nitrous. All at the flip of a switch.

FWIW, you can buy JUST the two-pickup plate and make ANY distributor a two-timing ***** for near-pocket-change at Autozone. Do it to it.

And yes, it has mechanical advance weights built in and it's NOT a lean-burn unit. Tune the advance curve like ANY other distributor.
