Looking at all the cars mostly intact, he must of wanted top dollar for his parts. When I moved into my new location, I didn't want to haul a life time of collecting parts. I sold half of my parts for half of what they were listed on other sites. Better getting half than none and helping those in need of the parts. Those that tried to talk me down from my fair pricing, walked away empty handed. They were the resalers and I didn't want their money.

Not to add to all of our misery but here is another one going down. I was trying to make a deal for some parts about a month ago I was given some prices, but now this is their response...
"As of now CTC Auto Ranch is no longer selling parts, we will sell sell project cars and also parts cars as a whole, but no loose parts.
We have decided to slow down and work our way into retirement
So you want a project car or parts car, give us a call , if you need parts we are no longer a sorce for that.
We are usually here on Tuesdays, Wensdays and Thursdays untill around 4pm. But you should call first to make sure, before you come here.

Sad to see stuff in yards mostly out in the elements. Best in AZ/CA/NV, though sun degrades all polymer parts and body paint. In 1994, I had to source a rear quarter for my 1965 Chrysler from Black Canyon north of Phoenix, after an accident while traveling on I-40. Most of their cars had been half-buried in sand after a flood, so they had to dig out to get my part. Even in the dry west, stuff happens, and likely few of those cars were salvaged. Hard to store parts out of the elements at home too. I have some large parts under wide eaves, protected from rain splash, but any unpainted metal outside will still corrode from condensation moisture (day-night temperature swings), even in California. The Graveyard Carz show in middle Oregon shows them storing classic Mopars outside under tarps, with some parts stored in portable buildings. Tarps help, but need to be removed periodically or can be worse than none if they trap moisture underneath.

Back in the late 890s. I was a fool for AAR Cudas amd TA Challengers, had more than my share. Before the friggin computer, smart phone, texting, I was talking to a guy in Az. about a AARs> I mentioned NO doubt his car was rust free! He said, yea it is desert here, but it does rain some and ever E body ever made leaks in the trunk, thus some rust there!!!! I did buy a 70 Duster out of Az. once, and it was 100 % solid, even the floors, BUT it had many decades worth oif granny dents!!!!
CTC has always been noted for high prices. Never bought from them, never asked.
For Tx, old time large and good boneyard, get in though with Browne Salvage near Sunset, Tx. just N of Decatur a ways. I don't know if they ship.

Oh boy. I roamed that yard (and nearby Erie Auto) in Dacono thirty-some years ago. I'm sure I saw almost every old Mopar still left there.
I believe it.
Speedway behind Erie is still there and most of the old cars are still there too.

I believe so. Got a lot of stuff out of there over the years though I haven't been there for a few years. Was never able to buy anything from Erie. Total butt heads.
It is really sad to think of all the yards that have crushed out in the last 10-15 years. I've been walking yards for decades mostly in the western states but also in KS, MO, OH.
Most of the ones that are still left have been bought out by LQK, U-Pull-It and such. Inventory is rotated and crushed out on a regular basis. There are a couple large yards over by Richfield UT. that still has old stuff and actually a newer smaller yard that is nothing but old stuff, mostly trucks. He has a lot of 1961-93 Dodge trucks.
I'm think the yard in Pueblo CO is now closed. Heard that yard in Greely CO crushed out last year or so.

The yard on 34 between Greeley and Loveland crushed out several years ago but they stayed in business and are all cleaned up nice.

Erie has several 67-69 A bodies, but they are not a pick your part so getting parts is not as efficient.
I have been allowed in a couple times with an escort but reluctantly.
99% of our old classic car parts are in the hands of hobby ists and sitting in their garages!!

Across the street from them was a drag strip that closed in the 70s(IIRC)
Last time I was by there there were houses being built on the dragstrip property, and the wrecking yard was largely empty except for a mile square ring of 60s to 70 Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and VW vans. That was a year or more ago so I'm sure they are gone now

His business is well off the beaten path, down a dirt road. And he’s been old school for decades. But he does sell a lot of parts and cars, and bought out a couple big yards that closed down around him. Not sure how his prices are, but I’ve bought a lot of stuff there at reasonable prices.

Ya, actually I think you told me about Greely come to think of it.
Rollie was one of the owners of Speedway. I met him about 15 years ago right after his partner died. He was open on Saturdays and I think Wednesdays. My understanding is that he died a few years ago and now his son has it open on Saturday mornings.
Every time I went to Erie they told me that they didn't have anymore Mopars. 10,000 cars and no Mopars? I could see several Mopars just in the first few rows. That yard will probably be crushed out too someday.
7-Sons outside of Brighton CO on US hyw 85 crushed thousands of old cars years ago. I would have bought probably 20 cars from him.
Yep speedway is being run by the son in law and as i understand it
