yes, my dads 68 Formula S 340 that he bought brand new had a red motor. My 69 A56 that I bought new in 69 was turquois. The A56 I have now is also turquois. I met a guy in San Diego selling an original A56 (it had a dealer installed sun roof on it) that had a blue motor.Wasnt the early 340s red too?
Just a follow up on this: P4349217AB seems to be unobtainium and the VHT equivalent also is gone.
P4349217AB
I have no opinion aside from a friendly heads up that P4349217AB no longer seems to be available. Just used the last can I had from 2009 and thought I'd look to get another can for stock and was surprised to see it missing in action. The can I had sprayed well, covered well and dried quickly.Just to throw a clinker in, I have a '69 bare block standard bore 340 that I bought for a spare. I believe that it has it's orginal color, dark blue. My '69 Dart 340 had a turquoise engine. I believe that there were possibly 3 or 4 colors over the course of the '69 model year.

This is the right color. And paint quality is good. I have sprayed the quarts and others i know have used sprayed with bombs on grills ect.I have no opinion aside from a friendly heads up that P4349217AB no longer seems to be available. If I did not have any I would have just mixed up something and sprayed from a gun.

The one I posted is too. All the paint they sell is spot on.It is the right color for a 1974 318 which is why I used it.
